Veterans Understand Energy Security

No one better understands America’s need for energy security than our veterans who have defended our rights and borders for more than 200 years.  They know that protecting America goes beyond the battlefield and that energy security plays a key role in our safety.

Our veterans also know all too well the sacrifices and costs of being reliant on others.

The U.S. is currently increasing our dependence on oil from foreign sources, while we have huge quantities of it here in North America.  Meanwhile, America needs jobs, our federal and local governments need more revenues, and our economy needs more stimulus.

We can address all of these challenges by just allowing greater access to our vast North American energy resources.

The simple truth is that America has the opportunity to reduce its dependence on foreign oil from volatile locations around the world; keep more of that money and more of those jobs here at home; and, create more dependence on ourselves.

America needs to rely on all forms of north American energy:  fossil, renewable, nuclear.  But no matter how fast other sources are developed, oil and natural gas will supply the majority of our power for decades.  We should be acquiring it right here on on friendly soil and off America’s shores.

I absolutely agree. We can't keep relying on dangerous foreign countries to supply our oil. That's a threat to our economy and our national security. It's so simple!
